  I had to re-read that whole article a total of 4 times to make sure either myself or Mike didn't have a brain aneurysm when he wrote that article. so uhh something DID catch my eye though...

  Which means he is admitting that his law actually does nothing at all. Or, at best, that it’s a kind of “trigger law” that really only matters if Section 230 is repealed or massively reformed.

  Do they know something we don't? Should we be worried about this particular ... detail?

  I dunno, correct me if I am wrong but offensive words and gestures are protected speech are they not? also a student underage still has rights when they are in (and out of) school, also correct? so this seems... court actionable to me.

  I have a few thoughts on this... the problem isn't social media's fault. Just as it isn't a school's fault, or a mall, or a street corner, or any other place. The inherent problem is "This is where he picked up those ideas." because also, you can find resources on the opposite side of the spectrum as well. No, I think that the parents are making ... decisions in grief. is the grief justified, of course, but the decisions are not. First off, any damages incurred to social media will not likely change anything, they will keep on doing business as usual. The damages recieved will also ... well... how much money can you put on losing a child? How much money will make the pain of losing a child go away? That's what I mean when I mean that these cases are... not good.

  Well. as of this post, twitter has adopted a poison pill clause in which, if I read right, would force Musk to pay a premium for stocks, while giving other shareholders time and a discount on said stocks in order to dilute the stocks that Musk would buy. AT LEAST, Twitter has the foresight to see just how petty Musk can be on Twitter, and having someone like that in charge of Twitter, is a very, very bad idea.

  okay so here's the thing. That tweet about coffee houses is not incorrect. BUT.... Unlike public Greek or Roman forums... those coffee houses were in fact... private businesses. Twitter is just... a modern day equivalent of those old Victorian Coffee Houses of old. Think of it like that.

  okay let's break down this fucking word salad. 1) Even a Cessna 172 (the single engine, 4 seat Cessnas), is 140-185 (give or take) mph, so if said plane is only doing 100mph, they are not flying, they are stalling, or more accurately, falling. 2) Grabbing the wrong map for where you are flying is grounds for ... well.. being grounded... by the FAA, ie. Content Moderation, Keeping people who fuck up royally from participating is said activities. An air chart is NOT like a Rand McNally road atlas. There are a LOT MORE information on them, including Fly Zones, Flight restrictions (Think Military airbases and flight restrictions around LAX for example) 3) If you ARE lost, THAT'S WHAT ATC IS FOR! There are people on the ground CONTROLLING THE FUCKING AIR SPACE! This amicus brief... makes less sense than the plot of Highlander 2.
