  Why is it AMD/Intel? The other companies literally got prices out of the market due to copyright making it too expensive to experiment.

  Isn't that basically why the RIAA basically sided against more copyright maximalism in the case of Led Zeppelin vs. Taurus because they realized that all their lawsuits would eat up their own industry and (more importantly to the RIAA) their profits?

  I think Microsoft's strategy in the case of Open-Source–and in the case of Right-to-repair–is "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em." That is, Microsoft realizes that they've lost the battle so they'll figure that they'll try to work with the new reality rather than fight against it, since they tried that and it failed.

  I would say the anti-queer legislation is also having the cut-children-from-information effect. Teens may realize that they're not the person they were assigned at birth, and the anti-queer legislation is meant to force them to be oppressed and miserable (not to mention targeted for death).

  If only they read that part in the bible that explicitly says that the life of an child in utero is not equivalent to one that currently exists after they're born. That is, Exodus 21:22-25. If only the "pro-life" Christians followed that part of the bible.

  Speak for yourself. I didn't like Elon Musk when he was receiving glowing coverage. I just thought there was something off about him. Also, I thought that privatizing space travel would mean that pictures of celestial objects would not be in the public domain. It's just that my suspicions proved correct and the rest of the world caught up.
