"Mike Lindell Now Swears He’s Not Going To Use Drones For His Batsh*t Election Fraud Scheme That He Demonstrated To Everybody With Drones" https://uproxx.com/viral/mike-lindell-drones-election-security-illegal/
Unfortunately, that's just one of many myths in my industry of SEO. Deleting old content does not make a site "fresh" and since Bing is fully capable of indexing tens of millions of pages from any one site, with content going back 20 years on some sites, the issue is something else entirely.
Yeah this is a big one. Even barring VPN usage, false IP identification has always been a real issue as long as I have been in the web business (since January of 95). What happens when a Wisconsin resident near the border with Michigan, has a Michigan ISP IP address? What about Michigan residents near the Wisconsin border, who have Wisconsin IP addresses? This effort would only cause more usability and liberty problems.
Unless there's actual data out there tied to this, I honestly doubt they were losing mmoney and instead it is entirely a weak gesture to address that other thing: "and stave off antitrust scrutiny"
Back in the day, I was in the Military Police in the Army. I was friends with one of the CID investigators on base and he literally taught me how "criminals" can beat the test. It was a demonstration in critical thinking in my own investigative work. "Don't trust anything or anyone if you can't get corroborating evidence. It's questionable at best."
Are you a California politician wanting to slam this bogus legislation through? Or are you just shilling for vendors who want to profit off of this unconstitutional law?
Politicians love money from industry lobby groups. They don't care about humanity if there's a chance they can get their pockets lined.
How greedy is Steve Huffman? I mean, reddit is overflowing revenue. And isn't Conde Nast still their primary stake-holder? I wonder if Huffman is being pressured to increase revenue. And another possibility is the bath reddit is taking in valuation. As reported on TechCrunch: "Fidelity Blue Chip Growth Fund’s stake in Reddit was valued at $16.6 million as of April 28, according to the fund’s monthly disclosure released over the weekend. That’s down 41.1% cumulatively since August 2021 when the asset manager spent $28.2 million to acquire the Reddit shares, according to disclosures the firm has made in its annual and semi-annual reports." Whatever the motivation, Huffman's approach is ridiculously myopic and typical of corporate greed-mongers.
LOL I love California. Lived there most of the past 20 years. And yet California is the biggest nanny state in the country, I think. It's beyond ridiculous at the extremes they go to in order to socially engineer human behavior. Newsom's probably really angry that Biden is seeking a 2nd term, meaning Newsom can't become President in 2024.
LOL Valid points worth considering. In spite of my belief I'm "above the noise", my first thought was to shake my fist in the air and say "no, this is different! Newsom seeks to protect human rights!". Yet they both seek to change corporate policies through the use of governmental budgets and powers.
“things that probably wouldn’t happen if the U.S. wasn’t too corrupt to pass a decent internet-era privacy law.” “things that probably wouldn’t happen if the Catholic church were not a haven for paedophiles and child sexual molesters.” THERE. FIXED THAT FOR YOU.
I miss the old days. Story after story about Prenda Law, and the infamous "Salt Marsh", among other shady characters. Seeing the steady flow of stories about DoNotPay, has begun easing my sadness that the Prenda days are over. And while they are entirely different cases, the hilarity of them is equal. The pathetic con artistry, the grifter mentality, are up to the task. So I need to thank Joshua Browder for being so bad at his own game. Truly. I appreciate it. And I look forward to many more lawsuits, and eventually, Browder getting shredded by the courts.
Fascism is on the rise in America. The pushback against 230, like everything else the pseudo-Christian fascists the GOP pushes back on, is part of their overall plan to just toss out the Constitution entirely, all so they can have a fascist run nation.
All I care about at this point is whether Strike 3 has hired Salt Marsh in any capacity and if we might finally get insight into who they really are.
I knew it! I knew Techdirt was evil for gamification! Finally. Proof. Now, where's that video I was working on about the moon landing being faked (50th anniversary edition)? I need to update it to include this proof about TechDirt!
from an article over on the Star Tribune web site: ...Gordon Hansmeier, chairs the Seventh District Bar Association's Ethics Committee. (also referenced in a TechDirt comment from a Prenda article in 2015)
Does this mean we're finally going to learn the true identity of Salt Marsh? I've waited so long for any article related to the Prenda clowns that I'd nearly given up hope.
Wow. Just absolutely wow. Thank you for continually staying on top of news I
I don't see there being significant risks - they're already a neutral aggregator.
Crony Capitalist Tyrants
As toxic as government can be, with all its flaws, one of the worst aspects is how corrupt politicians have collaborated with corporations and the ultra-wealthy over the years to give them freedom to violate human rights and worker rights in this country for so long, they have never learned to use critical thinking in their decision making. To them, it's worth the effort regardless of expense and regardless of likeliest of outcomes.
