Picoradio

from the small,-cheap,-and-run-on-their-own-power dept

MIT’s Tech Review has an interesting article about some researchers working on picoradio, which are tiny wireless sensors, that run on so little power that they can power themselves from the environment around them. They’ll also be pretty damn cheap (according to the theory). They certainly could be pretty cool, but again, I’d like to see them in action before I believe the hype.
