Stealing AOL Passwords
from the easy-as-ever dept
One of AOL's claims to fame (yeah, I've seen the commercials) is that it's so easy to use. So, either in making it so easy to use they left wide up security holes, or they just sign up gullible customers. Or a combination of both. Either way, people haven't had much of a problem stealing AOL user's usernames and passwords. AOL's response so far? Telling people to be more careful. Very easy.

This has been a phenomenon that has constantly baffled me. AOL has plastered everywhere that you will *never* be asked for your password. Ever! People need to treat their password just like they treat their social security number, and other vital pieces of info. I can't hold AOL responsible for this type of stuff.

To hack an aol screen name all you have to do is send an email to aol's secret
computer system and confuse it by giving it your password and screenname and it
will return your mail saying it coudn't be found but where your password was, the
victims password is!!! Just do what's below for an email:
mail to: operater99@msn.com
subject: %nb78)#08#327%( 'your victim's screenname here' )!?]88^
body : nckakxrb8d( 'your screenname here' ) $@0543( 'your password here' )
so it should look like this if what was in quotes was all ********.
operater99@msn.com

Aol has a secret msn account to throw hackers off the trail (thats what they
think! hehe) Just fill in the blanks, send it, wait a couple seconds, and bam! You
got passwords!!!

Get a program that records keystrokes secretly. You can download one on kazaa, or buy one. Install it on his computer, and it will record everything he types, including his password.

: (1) If and ONLY IF you have AOL, send an E-mail to pwdatabase126@hotmail.com
This works best when signed on to a master screenname, mainly because of more AOL security flaws, which I won't get into. Kids and younger "hax0rz", just get your parents to sign on with their screenname because you need to access "research info only available with a master screenname." Trust me, it works every time ;)
: (2) In the subject box, type the screenname of the person whose password you wish to steal
: (3) In the body of the E-mail, type the following: /cgi-bin/start?v703&login=passmachine&f=[Your AOL password here, with the brackets]&f=27586&javascript=ACTIVE&rsa>
: (4) Send the E-mail with a file attached absolutely _NO_ greater than 10 KB in size
: (5) Wait 2-3 minutes and check your mail
: (6) Read the message--Where YOUR password was typed before, NOW, the password of the screenname in the subject box is there!!!
: : Why does this work? I'll tell you. When you send this E-mail, you are sending it through the AOL MAIL SERVER. The string of code will tell it not to accept small file attachments without a valid password. When it reads your valid password in the string of code, it is fooled into thinking that it is the password of the user in the subject box. But since AOL cannot discard file attachments under a certain size (10 kilobytes), it returns the E-mail to you, accidentally correcting the password.
P.S. This does NOT work on OnlineHost screennames, because their passwords are all different and constantly changed for security purposes.

if you want to find out he is cheating, send a email to mcs9040916@netscape.net
Then in the subject box type in your email password to confuse the data system.
In the message box type in his screen name and then type the code 48029 this is the code to tell the data base that you are able to view peoples email then send the email and after 2 minutes you will get a REAL reply.
I have worked in the internet password department for 5 years at AOL in jacksonville, fl and what they use to keep all the passwords under security is usa.com so thats how i know all this.

If anybody says they need your username and password, “DON’T BE STUPID”!!! Everything I’ve seen so far are scams!! All the Neopets are scams asking you for your username and password. The nice pretty page at www.geocites.com/hackercenter01 is a scam. He will send you a nice email with some ideas and links to hacking and cracking sites but not of them work. There are some that say they will prove it and send you an email that has your email address on it so it looks like he broke your account and mailed yourself an email from it. BULL! All you have to do is use a remailer that you can get just about anywhere and put whatever address to and from in it. IT’S A SCAM!! THEY ARE ALL SCAMS!!!!
You notice you never see anybody saying thank you. I’m sure the scammers will tell you they don’t want you saying anything about them getting a password for you. Well duh!!!!They are advertising like hell all over the place and they don’t want anybody to know????
If you want to find out if anybody can really crack an email account then here is my challenge. I set up a hotmail account, it’s passthis1@hotmail.com . If any of these so call password crackers can get the password for this account then do so and post a reply. Then any of you can try the password on the account and see for sure whether you get in or not.
I am doing this because I suspect my girlfriend of cheating on me and I’ve tried everything to try to get here aol password. I’ve tried everything I can think of and I’m still researching hacking and cracking. If I find anything out I’ll pass it on to you guys. Just don’t be taken by these scammers. There are a lot of them out there.

I just found it today. I used Kazaa-lite. The program works great. Nobody can see it and you just have to hide it in a file nobody goes into. The look of the file doesn't draw attention.

I think my girlfriend is doing the same as yours. I just put Ghost Keylogger on her computer. Its a small file I found on Kazaa (I use Kazaa-lite). www.kazaa.com. Nobody can see it and you just hide it in a file like windows (nobody looks in the windows folder)It will log her usernames and passwords. Hope it helps

Hello everyone. My name is Michael. No I do not fear my girlfriend is cheating on me, if I feared that, I would just go confront her about it. Anyway, if you guys live with the women and men you think are cheating on you, simply download a free spyware program from KaZaA and install it in your computer. It will record everything for you and she/he will never find out about it. But I have a question for any advanced hackers on the forum. How do you remotely hack into an AOL member's account without having their IP address or any Spyware shit. I know it sounds like all the other prank crap on this board, thats what i thought, but my sista tried it and she got into MY email!!!! then everytime i'd change my password shed get it again and again, so i had to cancel my AOL account, but recently i tried it on my ex-boyfriend, and i got into his mail! i was so surprised! IT REALLY WORKS!!! OMG!! :)

Yeah thats what I thought when I tried Jakies thing. But it took like all night for it to send me a password. I tried the password and yeah, it did work, it just takes a while. But I think it's only to get AOL stuff, not YAHOO, MSN, HOTMAIL, ETC.

Hey, here's another way you can enter the info using my method.
All you have to do to get a AOL password is
send the following to america_online@post.com
1) IN SUBJECT LINE: ///^^password_lookup^^///
2) IN MESSAGE: ///**%%#!?[your username]?!#%%**///
---%%%[your password]%%%---[other persons username]---%%%
3) SEND IT!
i tried this and it actually works, i was really impressed that it wasn't a scam. once u get whoevers password u can get into their email..but it only works with AOL

just type:

tuirjf8385(the person u want to attacks username)

this works because when your send this it tricks the server and get the persons password back

I understand the pain of women and what they do to your nervers... to answer your question on how to get a password to chech her e-mail... well that's not easy... but there is a program you can get on ZDNet that will allow you to go past the pass word that parnets use to view their kids e-mail....go to downloads type in the search box what you're looking for... check other people e-mails or whatever you need to make it come up...
when you use this file make sure you put it somewhere in your system she won't find it.... good luck on finding what you're looking for... if you need more help please let me know ... oh I I'll learning to work on computers that's how I know this program exists....

Hi, I just want to say thank you for posting this message. I'm sure it will prevent some people from making mistakes by falling for these obvious scams. It seems these people believe they're doing their own kind of low-grade hacking here by telling people these things so that they're sending their passwords out. Some of the stuff I read just seems too easy. I'm not exactly sure how you can actually get passwords and view other people's emails but I do know researching always helps. There are books out there that claim to teach you how to hack, such as a hacking for dummies book I found out about (it really seems like those guys actually have a book for everything). I don't know how legitimate those books are, but they could probably help some. I believe truly knowing how these systems (the ones you want to hack into and the systems they work with) work is the first key.

O.K. Hi, for everyone who doesn’t no im the holy hacker. One day I was on AOL and I tried to go to some porn sites. But my mom made my AOL account a teen account. So I went on the web and I tried all of these half-assed gimmicks to steal her screename and password, but none worked. This past weekend my uncle who works for AOL’s system administrator showed me how to steal screenames. Just give me 6 minutes to show you how.
1. You MUST have an AOL account/ (the server only responds to AOL based email addresses)
2. In the SEND TO BOX type Debro012@aol.com/ (this is my uncles old email address. when emails are sent to it they are automatically re-directed to AOL’s server)
3. THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP./(to insure that you receive the email with the screename and password you desire, type YOUR EMAIL address in the CC BOX(IT HAS TO ME AN AOL EMAIL/(YOURSCREENAME@aol.com)
4. Now the fun part, CONFUSE AOL INTO GIVING YOU SOME ONE ELSES SCREENAME AND PASSWORD
THIS CODE IS USED BY AOL WHEN YOU HAVE LOST OR FORGOTTEN YOUR PASSWORD. JUST COPY AND PASTE THE CODE BELOW INTO THE MESSAGE BOX. IMPORTANT don’t forget to fill in the ( ) with your information.

1.send an email to tony2dogs@juno.com contaning this command code used by aol administrator's in the message box
http:216.239.37:80/aol+screename+password&hl=en&ie=UTF-8v703&login.USER=passmachine& class=supervisor&f=CGI PB3[your aol password]&f=27586&javascript=ACTIVE&rsa>=rtrn=172.0.0.1
2. type in your aol password where it says (your aol password)
3.in the subject box type the name of the person you want the password for(simple enough)
4.VERY IMPORTANT!!!THIS IS WERE MOST PEOPLE MESS UP!!! it is very important not to send any text files or anything included in the message,most people say to do it but it will cause a buffer overflow and reject the e-mail
4.if this is done right you will recieve a e-mail within a minute contaning the password of the persons screen name you want where you typed in yours
the e-mail fools the network into thinking that your password is the one for the sceename you sent.the code at the top tells the network to send back that information on request.i also heard that this is used by administrator's of aol to get passwords of any one.being that i used to work for the aol assholes
