AOL in Themeparks
from the doesn't-that-sound-like-fun dept
AOL has made a deal to put kiosks into some themeparks. They’ll even have friendly staff (hopefully not dressed up in animal costumes) to guide you through the AOL system. My question is how long is it before AOL decides to go into the themepark business themselves? Seems like an excellent way to brainwash a few more million users. Have them come to a park, be immersed in AOL marketing hype (a few dozen CD-ROMs handed out everywhere – maybe a giant walking CD-ROM), spin them around enough, and make them sign up for an account.

Do Kiosks make good cracking stations?
Just how anonymous can a kiosk session be? If you are not physically observed, (or are wearing a disguise) and do not leave any electronic signatures like a credit card number, a kiosk may make a good aononymous access point.
