  Look to Russia

  These ultra-wealthy may think they are protecting their interests by cowing to Trump, but the need to look at the example of Russia. The Oligarchs there may have wealth, but their wealth and lives are only preserved at the whim of Putin. We don't have people falling out of windows yet, but the wealthy should be more afraid of that than the short term gains they may get from paying off Trump.

  The information that the SSA has on citizenship may be wrong, causing all kinds of harm. When one becomes a naturalized citizen, it's up to you to tell the SSA that you are now a citizen. There must be people who miss this step.

  When I went to convert my old paper license to a new card, with a picture on it, the website offered to use the picture from my passport on my new DL. The UK is very different to the USA: there is only one agency in the country that issues driver licenses.

  Hardly surprizing he ignores reality

  His mentor (Kennedy) was either stupid or disingenuous when, in Citizens United, he said something to the effect that donors would not use PACs to hide their identity. I don't believe he was stupid: he knew what would happen and he went ahead with ignoring the truth anyway.

  the United States Department of State maintains that Vietnam lacks an independent judiciary, in part because the Communist Party selects judges and vets them for political reliability.

  Has the Department of State heard of immigration judges who hear cases in immigration courts? While they are supposed to be non-partisan, this administration has been giving them instructions on how to rule in cases. Failure to follow such instructions results in them being fired.

  Look to Russia

  Those powerful and wealthy people should look to Russia to see their likely fate: either they become totally subservient to the dictator or they "fall out of a window". Their short term greed will lead to their descendants being less wealthy, since the types of policies and just the wealth disparities they seek will reduce further economic growth.

  When I got my citizenship at a naturalization ceremony, I was told that I would no longer need to carry ID to prove my legal right to be in the USA. This administration has made that a lie.
