I owned an ISP for several years, and we always billed in advance. While they may be trying to ring in some extra cash, we did it because people tended to forget to pay their bill. If they were paying in advance, it gave us more time with the money, as well as more leverage when they were late. I don't have a problem with it.
DAMN!! Ok, what is your address...I might as well pay up now!~
I don't think the MSN search screeching was so much about which search engine, but more about allowing people to choose which one they use, VS. being told which one to use. Personally, if MSN could deliver more relevant search results, I would use it, but alas, they suck.
You are so full of shit! Who knew back in 1994 that the goddamn olympics would be online? IF you could have predicted that, you would be richer than Mark Cuban...
I don't know about anyone else, but lately, I would rather have a fucking exchange server and outlook! GMail has been sucking wind for about 3 weeks now, and I am sick of it! Get the damn email server working flawlessly, THEN migrate people to it! DAMN!!
I don't know about most people, but my unofficial poll still shows that no matter how fast your cell phone is, you are going to use home HSI to surf the "real" Internet. Even those who use an iPhone that presents the web in a more "real" looking format are saying that it is to small to read, they can't download the latest .iso of linux on it, and it just plain sux. I don't care how fast it gets, if it sux, it sux, and no one is going to change from a 3-5 inch screen to a 12-?? size screen on a cell phone. These guys need to put down the crack pipe and come back to the real world.
Funny how one sided this is...I registered thisebaysellersucks.com because I was repeatedly ripped off by sellers, or because a seller left negative feedback when I honestly left either negative or neutral. It is not one sided, it is bilaterally a shit hole now a days.
I think I will just start keeping my pennies in a shoe box under my bed... It is not the demand of employees that cause the problems, it is the CRAZY salaries of the "C" level and the outrageous demands of stock holders that cause companies to think this way. Wouldn't it be a disgrace to see the stock market shutdown and companies having to earn money the old fashioned way...pleasing their customers!
I have you all beat! I have a tv tuner card in my PC with a 24" monitor, I startup the tv, move it to the upper right hand corner, and get on the internet, move it to the left and do both! :o)
TWC does not even allow you record the PPV stuff, they do give you access to anything you purchase for 24 hours, but you can not record it...sucks right?!?!?
Well...Qwest has not had their shot at Vonage yet...I think we have at least one or two more patent trolls to deal with before Vonage can set back and relax.
I know it's Friday folks, but come on...this is good news. Oh, and FIRST
Yessss... I am a willing to pay anyone who finds the one who was rewarded the $1 million a HUGE bag of dicks. Come on! Any takes?!?
Retail is down as a whole, not just Lowes, or Home Depot. Everyone in retail is sweating their job right now, myself included!
You actually admit that you work for Geek Squad?!?!? I here by strike you down with Lightening!
Well said, I just you were not such a coward :o) Really tho, I totally agree with you on all points.
So,
Imagine if you were the largest, most expert search engine...yeah, I know, hard to imagine, but try! Now, you index all of the bad sites, and make security signatures based on your super-dooper indexing. That would just be BADASS! You would be way ahead of the curve on new exploits and viruses. You could make a killing, or in Google's case, another killing!
I work for an insurance company in IT...I watched the movie lastnight and I have to tell you...I will be looking for a new job asap! Not because M. Moore made me feel bad, but because I see this shit on a daily basis, and have a feeling when America sees this movie, they will start understanding what is happening when they submit a claim for a wart removal and it is denied as a pre-existing condition. The company I work for made nearly 30 Billion (yes, with a B) last year, gross. That was done by denying the claims of people who have cancer, heart conditions, and other serious life threatening conditions. Okay? See the movie, then tell me you don't care.
Hey, ME TOO!! Where are you? I am running SLED 10, are you sholder surfing?!?!? :o)
But REALLY! I am seeing the same thing, and I am the one NOT running Windows.
Hmmm...
Looks like you can still order it...
