    Well...in their defense they aren't getting their asses continually handed to them and their rhetoric polished by having to counter angry pirates any longer. Said pirates long having realized that talking to the copyright maximalists is a waste of time and no matter what laws the copyright cult manages to push the end result remains "Pirates, as usual, are not affected". The few copyright trolls left are just left pissing up a rope all on their lonesome.

    I know you aren't new here, Ninja so I have to ask - what the hell did you expect? The libertarian fandom hailing Musk doesn't give a shit about children. They never did. They'd sell a few themselves if they thought they could get away with it. In so far as they have any ideology beyond "Fuck You, Got Mine" it's just some re-cast form of antisemitic "jewish global conspiracy" argument standing as the reason as to why they've ben oppressed enough not to themselves be rich and wealthy edgelords a la Musk.

    Coming out swinging in favor of Musk because the real point of Qanon was always about the global conspiracy led by the Elders of Zion. Every last conspiracy issued by Qanon leads to "It's ze Jews!".     Well, yeah. The people who forked over the dough to pay the shady tailors are heavily invested in claiming the Emperor's new wardrobe is a work of art, that the view of the august personages dangling dingleberries is just a product of your lying eyes, and that the brat screaming the Emperor is, in fact, naked, just needs a caning until he shuts the fuck up. Even without involving Musk's own cultists there are plenty of people owning enough stock in TSLA their sphincter tightens unpleasantly at the thought of Musk's halo of infallibility slipping further.

    Honestly, "Hyman Rozen" coming out swinging against laws intended to prevent the sexual abuse of minor and laws preventing racist workplace discrimination in one and the same breath really shouldn't come as a surprise. Except possibly in the revelation that he appears to view minors and children through the same lens of lesser beings he uses for black people and jews. Realize where he's coming from and save yourself the long-winded explanation unless you thought it might benefit more rational and less bigoted people.

The general US "conservative" today seems to be just fine to keep voting for Moore, Gaetz, or Werewolf Walker. As long as there's an "R" in front of the name, the US conservative today will vote for that candidate, it's that simple. They are ON BOARD with fascism, bigotry, racism, nazism and the...people who "like them young" (as Trump still described his best buddy Epstein before even he distanced himself). Looking at the voting blocks of today then yes - we can and should generalize. The US conservative of today votes R and is just fine and dandy with whatever their chosen candidate gets up to. Those "conservatives" who weren't OK with this are, in the political climate of today the new progressives who simply aren't fine with the GOP issuing legislation out of A Handmaid's Tale or having Ted Cruz telling them what their kids should learn in school. Those may call themselves independent but generally vote "D" while holding their noses.

He's advocated free speech maximalism for years and this exact situation is one which was brought to his attention many times - and which he shrugged off as irrelevant. Now it's suddenly relevant because he's the guy at whose desk that buck stops. And to paraphrase PaulIT, consequences are where being a blustery rich edgelord suddenly loses it's appeal. That this was coming should have been bitingly obvious to anyone not neck deep in the libertarian religion where everyone Not Giving A Shit somehow produces a society worth living in rather than one where somehow assholes fail to understand the now unwritten and unenforced rules.

    White republican women have, so far, been stuck in a "House slave vs field slave" mindset. But, looking at the results of the "Red Wave" (😂) in the midterms the GOP shot itself in the foot when they actually caught that car - Roe v Wade they'd been pretending to chase for so long. I'm sure the amoral agnostics still remaining in major seats within the GOP looked at that and realized that this was what Goldwater warned them about when he condemned the religious nuts trying to take over the party. And now they're trying to roll out legislation right out of A Handmaid's Tale across every red state that leaves a LOT of white republican women in those states wondering whether that's really what they want for their s.o. and offspring.

Not looking forward to it, I must say. I'm obviously not smart enough to spot what actual value Musk gets out of torching double-digit amount of billions in public so I'd just be left looking at old Musk swinging his dingleberries around in court rather than the glorious suit I'm sure he'll be wearing in spite of my lying eyes telling me differently...

    I'm not sure I agree with that. I mean, I get that Elon setting Twitter's biggest revenue stream on fire, him not paying his landlord and thus ending up paying multiple times that debt, him openly demonstrating such loyalty to swastika wavers, sheetheads, russian trolls, misogynists and anti-semitic conspiracy nuts the vast majority of normal people are driven off the platform is all just a massive 5D chess game which ends up with some Elon in an alternate universe where different rules of causality applies ends up king of the world... ...but what does the Elon of the world we all live in get out of it besides video evidence of how you can waste the most money the fastest?

    "Rent is rent. It’s not like he can claim the goods were faulty or whatever and refuse to pay on that basis." Well, he could pull Trump's "Casino" stunt, go into bankruptcy proceedings and then tell the creditors they could settle for 10 cents on the dollar or see how much they'd lose in a lawsuit. Of course for that to work you first need to stick your liquid capital where the courts can't get to them...which would actually make Elon a worse businessman than Trump. I confess, that would surprise me. As it looks right now though, Elon i still on the hook for a few gagging bagfuls of money in damages and back rent. The actual money he could still repay with loose coffee change, admittedly, but the harm to his brand and his credit rating are likely to be far harsher penalties. ...and looking at it, both TSLA and Twitter have now suffered serious downgrades in credit rating. Musk's response appears to be that the institutes issuing credit ratings are irrelevant. Oh, wow.

I just bet at least one "explanation" for Elon's dire straits out of Chozen's commentary involves jewish bankers or antifa.

I'm pretty sure even the dumbest of dimbulbs who troll online these days grok the basics by now. But then again, as Mike told one of our recurrent plagues here, "There are motherfuckers, there are dumb motherfuckers...and then there are people like you". And out_of_the_blue/Jhon smith/bobmail was so butthurt and crushed over it that he spent more than ten years spending daily hours (under a new nickname every other week) in trying to tell us how much we all sucked, in arguments whose broken ridiculousness was only matched by their tendency to self-destruct halfway through. Rhetoric closely matches that of our new "Bennett", come to think of it.

    We've seen it before. Twitter is rapidly heading for the "All the worst people" scenario we saw playing out in 4chan, 8kun, and all the other attempts to make unmoderated communities which ended up fetid morasses only visited by edgelords, trolls and people who literally don't get way of entry in civilized places. People like Baghdad Bob - or Bennett, or whatever else he calls himself this time around - are only on places like TD because there are views to be upset about. He'll hate Twitter's new iteration as the "interesting people" he refers to will be klansmen, nazis, russian trolls, Qanon cultists and saudi nationalists. Which I guess is "interesting" if what you're after is positive feedback on fascist and/or racist ideals and want an audience where your complaints that "the lefties" are all being mean to you is appreciated by other deplorable assholes.
