It’s a serious question. There’s only three non-of platforms of value today. Xbox, Switch, and one that is solely an emulator. Oh, there’s also the other Japanese company that censors art and stifles creativity. But I won’t discuss them. I don’t know how much of these two publishers put stuff out on the switch. The publisher isn’t what makes me buy or play a game. And I’d honestly be unlikely to be able to match a publisher to a title if it’s not old iD or or GTi games. But Microsoft already does, and is adding to, Publish on PC as well. So I’m missing something.
What is it with the privacy-centric that makes them so incapable of understanding some people’s don’t agree. It’s not belief, it’s (dis)agreement. I don’t intend to break the law. Therefore I have no fear. If I do inadvertently break a law, ignorance is not a defence. And I am held to the law. That is the way it is. I don’t worry about tracking and sharing. Advertising portfolios creat profiles. Profiles are used for targeted advertising. Targeted advertising allows me to more willingly help sites I use by supplying click through and affiliation proceeds from items of interest to me. The only time this came back to bite me was sin the early covid days when sanitising wipes were gouged or out of stock. And I bought a case of baby bum wipes as an alternative. I like to get as much oil, green, etc off my hands before using a sink to reduce what goes into the pipes Now I keep getting coupons and offers for baby food and diapers. 🤦♂️ Shows AI is a bit lacking in the I aspect. As of yet, nobody has shown me how my “failure” to be concerned is going to hurt me!
…you did make the assertion…[quote] as it didn’t happen.
I’ll have to take your word for it. I have neither evidence nor experience to show otherwise. We clearly have different use cases.
I don’t see how. But it’s my own decision.
Corrected translation: I only read topics of interest to me. Meaning, I skip a lot of social media stuff.
They’re separate situations. I came across a story saying Biden agreed to waving off presidential privilege. It comes up from multiple sources in looking further. I believe it was emailed to me. I don’t recall. But it definitely has traction. I assumed, based on his track record, Trump would make some claim about not being there as a rallying call. But with SS protection he’d have had to be aware of it ahead of time.
The only footage I’ve seen was from two local broadcast stations. Both showed dozens of cars rolling up and/or parked. I don’t get whey they didn’t send a few marshals to knock on the door, and demand the documents.
I think they figured out that HBO+ is a short term platform alone. They have D.C. and Game Of Thrones. What else is big enough to drag new people in. Discovery+ has a constant and consistent user base that’s considerably wider. At its price point it does well bringing in both individual and family viewing. Education for the family/kids HD landscapes for the primary senior and office/business crowd. Paranormal grabs 18-34 and 35-50. Home/health grabs women. Where HBO is one-off limited beyond GoT. Ideally they would join their big competitors and add a station block on Prime. Because at the moment they have one big lead. That won’t sustain the. Long term. Beyond that, their offering isn’t well documented. Most streaming companies offer some form of documentation on most or all offerings without a signup/signin. hBO does not. So what’s the motivation for turning over all sorts of personal info (big one, credit card) just to find out if Iyou are going to use it. They almost drive themselves into this. They set it up in a way that reduced interest. Now they merge. And the question becomes Will Discovery subscribers be willing to carry the burden of higher pricing for a single show? For me, it depends on the price. I have only a passing interest in GoT. Not enough to pay for it alone. I’ll do without. Sleek Hollywood may bring in a new crowd but from the clips I’ve see, it appears too polished for a large crop of fantasy fans. None of their early work is available. The Real Sex series was a major breakthrough experiment in documentary. As big and industry changing as Mondo. Yet most is not there. The Carlin shows put HBO on the map. Yet most aren’t there. Boxing? Nope. Pride? Nope most (all?) is missing! Where’s Sinbad and Dice? So I ask! If you’re not a fan of D.C., and aren’t interested in GoT, what is there to justify higher pricing?
And I supplied a joke. Lightening up!
Oh, uh… that’s actually perversely funny. Messed up, but funny.
That may be true. I don’t know off hand. I don’t read every article posted. Generic info about social media is of little interest to me; I tend to skip over that. I have a single, under duress and totally against my will, use case for twitter. What they do say in/out is not my concern. As for turning over data, or selling my info. I don’t care about either. I have tracking turned on across sites, and apps. I appreciate targeted advertising that lets me support free services by buying thing I’m interested in. And since I don’t intend to break the law, I don’t care if they turn my info over to LE. And since I do not block location data sharing and tracking, my phone’s history will show where it was. And my usage of my phone will tie me to the location. So not worried about false narrative either.
The big difference is I haven’t threatened to break the law. So I’m not worried about techdirt turning over my info. Techdirt can turn over my info without my concern or consent. It is their right. See, I’ve never posted logged out. I believe in personal responsibility. And have zero concern of my legal standing. as your MSNBC bubble incapable of separating personal strategic choices from pledged support is telling. See, i Hate the packers. But betting on their opponent isn’t the same as supporting their opponent. I want the packers to lose. That’s different entirely from wanting the opponent to win. I support the wikimedia method of posting a user’s IP address for losers, pins suck, faithless, and degenerates (non-registered). There’s accountability in that. As far as I’m aware this is one of the very few sites that let anonymous users post. It’s a sad fact we registered users must live with while we are here.
Yes, please. Feel free to peruse! With a single exclusion (Queen of waste of space) I am no more or less supportive of abiding by the legal process regardless of who the person or party is. My history will show that. Now, Clinton, i don’t care what they get her for. Just find something. Nobody lives that long without breaking some law or statute somewhere!
Then why make the assertion that they don’tI didn’t. I suggested that if you wish to use blind faith in a platform of choice, it’s your life. Do what you want. See, I have little issue with the turning over info of a potential criminal to law enforcement based on a request, not a warrant. Especially on violence cases. Just like i would, and have, turned over security camera footage (copy’s) to law enforcement. Warrants protect and individual from being forced into divulgence without one. It’s not a requirement for willingly supplying information. Pointing that out makes me smart, not a troll.
One tiny upside to media mergers: less places to spend money for content. Every company dumping its content to streaming at $9.99 a month gets pricey very quickly.
Instant court case: How does the law deal with an age-level minor who is emancipated and technically an adult?
Probably the latter. Actually, I say the younger the child the less harm as they use it in daily social interactions.
Oh but so fun to troll trolls
I just tell them I have a 72 Chevelle. Some of them actually try to find that in the database. Most just hang up. If they somehow continue I tell them I also have a Ford 48 I’d love to get coverage on.
