  There was also a time when Capcom was pro-fan-remix. Exhibit A: when my friend (and co-writer on "O.P.") Mega Ran sampled Mega Man games for one of his rap albums, Capcom–rather than litigating or sending cease-and-desist letters–made Mega Ran their "official rapper" to legalize what he did. Exhibit B: When OC Remix made a "Blood On The Asphalt" remix tribute album to Street Fighter, Capcom used those remixes and modified them for a Street Fighter game, and OC Remix was allowed to give away the OST for free via BitTorrent. Exhibit C: The fact that bands such as the Protomen and The Megas are allowed to exist. There's far more, but Capcom used to be so, so cool. Their modern incarnation is but a shadow of what they once were, though.

  Not really. They're a hate group. They hate queer people like me for being queer. They hate BIPoC for being BIPoC They hate cisgender women who have independent thoughts and aren't submissive. They hate any religion that isn't their fascist brand of Christianity. The only Jews they like are the far-right ones in the Israeli Knesset. Otherwise, they're fine with Nazi conspiracy theories like The Great Replacement. And they will make any statement, and use any argument, even if (especially if) it's not true, if it means killing anybody they hate. That's it.

  “Serious emotional disturbance,” like when they say over and over that every person who transitions is depressed for the rest of their life.

  Boy do the transphobes and the fascists (but I repeat myself) get that wrong! Outside of going to conventions like PAX, countries like Japan, and music festivals like MAGFest pre-pandemic, I haven't been this happy being on estrogen! The fascists don't like happiness. Just look at how happy Kamala and Tim Walz are compared to Trumpy and J.D. Vance, to offer an example.
