Meh, anything that can be used to store data can be hacked or taken. It's called encryption folks.
ads and hilarious clips aside - Viacom will sooner or later figure out that they just aren't going to have their way. Whether by some chance they figure this out early and accept content which may touch upon their copyright, or get the crap sued out of them, it doesn't really matter.
I think anyone who has a databreach on their part is the one who needs to pay for it. Everyone needs to keep their part of the pipe in good condition and then we don't have these issues.
I agree with N0RR1N RADD, He has a valid point in that parents need to be in charge of deciding whats appropriate for they're children. I don't want someone telling me what appropriate for my child. I don't want a government telling me what appropriate for me either. Besides, attacking something, especially this upfront only makes it more popular as mike said.
Sad. I can't find the videos, but maybe it'll have a streisand effect and help to get out the unions message?
On Topic: Yeah, thats about how it is. I agree with your last statement, it's extremely and sadly true.
^ Sad but true.
Bonbon...If I can go to blah.com and download 24, why does it matter if i can also go to random.com and download it? Yes, a few more people will see it, but it doesn't mean much.
The only person with a valid point as to the source reupload would be Goblin Juice, in which, How did he obtain it? Did he buy it legally then illegally youtube it?
Dave, I see your point, but I can run from my TV, directly to my PC, and then to my website. I already have that capability, and I don't need sling. Users have had that ability since the internet and Tv-Tuner cards existed. :)
Ah, but not all people care about technology. At least he admits it, so give him some credit.
Wolforz, as mike4 said(or meant at least), your right, but, in this case, usually when you hire a firm, your hiring them to be coders, not engineers of the social branch.
I do tend to think that anybody stupid enough to use questionable legal methods with such an obvious name (l33t@hackers_r_us.co.uk) should be jailed though..
(side note- whats with the non-capitalizing n00bs on the thread? The word "hacker" attract them all from gizoogle?)
Lawl.
Staying on topic, I think it's good companies are finally seeing the positives of helping the enviroment (which is always a good thing) and also saving money. The more companies save, the more (in theory) consumers save.
This is shit. She was enjoying the fact that she's an adult CLEARLY over the legal drinking age.
It's a scare story, yes, but, alot of credit card fraud does happen pre-ssl. You get a guy that sits there with his laptop in the cafe, sits around with ethereal or packet capture program of your choice, waits for someone to hit up say paypal.com, then starts ARP poisening, fakes DNS and issues a false SSL certificate. It's not hard, and the tools come as a precompiled package on linux available through rpm.
Is it a problem? Yeah - don't manage your banking from starbucks, but, not that big of an issue. It'd be better to tell people common sense things then to have weird security freakouts, but, security experts always have and will have the need to feel technical.
Somewhere theres a man that looks like yoda sitting around pondering how to waste more of our tax money. He's probably next to the head of sony someplace in hell.
That aside, people need to raise their own children. if they don't like such said porn, then either teach the child to not go to it, or install blocking software.
People are idiots. Most search engines obey robots.txt and those that don't hardly anyone uses. If your really worried about privacy, use a .htaccess.
Mainframes are outdated. It's cluster computing thats won the way. You can make a solid cluster for 1000$ and it's not hard to make a control platform.
Idiot.
I can see your point, but, Exxon may still be attempting to limit the bad press. It could go either way.
