More Bluetooth Bashing
It never fails. People absolutely love to compare the potential of a proposed technology with the reality of an existing technology – and then conclude that the existing technology will be toast in the very near future. That, at least, appears to be the premise of this article predicting the death of Bluetooth within two years (as found on Broadband Reports). We’ve discussed these death of Bluetooth predictions before, and while we agree that eventually there will be other, better technologies out there, those claiming that Bluetooth is dying when compared to technologies that don’t even exist yet seem to be jumping on bandwagons a bit too quickly. Will other technologies come along? Certainly. But, it’s a bit early to hand the short-range wireless technology crown to a technology that doesn’t even exist, when one that does exist has been gaining quite a bit of traction lately.
