The Digital Entertainment Center Goes Wireless

from the getting-closer dept

Lots of companies have talked about the idea of the “digital hub” as the next generation of computer technology. Instead of a computer just being for surfing the internet and creating documents, people see it as the central device of a home entertainment system. Of course, the problem with that vision is that the computer usually sits far away from the stereo or the TV. It appears that computer makers are finally starting to realize the easy way around this by offering wireless connections (via WiFi) that will connect a computer to an entertainment system. Of course, as this review points out, the latest solution from HP has the right idea, but still needs a little tweaking in implementation.
