Internet Arrives In Iraq – Part II

from the thanks,-AP dept

Yet another example of a completely random story that one news organization writes about, followed up by another news organization repackaging the exact same story. About a month ago, we posted a Knight Ridder story about internet usage in Iraq. Even Wired picked up on the story and hacked into Saddam’s supposed email address. Now, suddenly, the AP has written almost the exact same story. Look at that! The Iraqis have internet access. Who would have known (other than anyone who reads a Knight Ridder publication)? The article even has a similar pace – they just found different cybercafe visitors to spew random quotes.
