Harvey Pitt Resigns Post As SEC Chairman

from the that-took-long-enough dept

It certainly took long enough, but after months of being beaten up in the press, Harvey Pitt has finally resigned his post as SEC chairman. It was clear from the beginning that he had a number of conflicts concerning companies he had once done work for. What amazes me is that he lasted as long as he did. Unfortunately, what may now happen is that he’ll be scapegoated and whoever else is appointed to replace him will continue to slap offenders weakly on their wrists.
