Computer Games Start Thinking

from the who-needs-the-Turing-test? dept

The article discusses how new games are taking ideas of various philosophers and putting them into the artificial intelligence that manages how computer controlled characters act. Even the game creators have been amazed at some of the results, such as rival biker gangs getting into a fight which was not preprogrammed into the game.
