Let's Make Something Clear

Yesterday we posted a story about Vodafone’s MMS launch dates and 3G delays. It seems Vodafone is taking issue with the story as it was reported by Japan’s Nihon Keizai Shimbun. First off, they gave no specific dates for anything, something must have been lost in the Japanese translation (how convenient). MMS is live in a number of Vodafone markets and will be live by the end of 2002 where it isn’t. Vodafone’s 3G plans are not delayed. It will still launch in some limited form in 2002 and reach full coverage sometime in 2004.
