Your Email Or Your Kids

from the hmm dept

A new study out of the UK shows that British parents spend more time on email than they do with their kids. While that might seem a bit alarming at first, I think it’s sort of an odd comparison. I’d say most parents spend more time at work than they do with their kids, and yet you don’t see fear-mongering articles about that. Whoever said that there was a proper ratio of email-to-kids? I’m all for parents spending more time with their kids, but I’m always worried about questionable studies that suggest some sort of “evil” behind the technology.
