Napster's Dead, Long Live File Sharing

Salon has an obituary for Napster where they point out that, honestly, almost no one cared about it’s death. Napster’s service closed down last summer and people had moved elsewhere. Plenty of people thought the company died a long time ago. Meanwhile, depsite the closure of Napster, people are still file trading like crazy, and the newer systems aren’t as easy to shut down as Napster was. So, Napster’s dead, but nothing’s really changed.
