Quote.com Sold to Lycos

For a long time now there have been rumors that Quote.com has been for sale. They could never really get anywhere, and there were even questions of how much longer they could survive. Now they’ve sold themselves to Lycos for $78 million. I’m sure that’s a lot less than they wanted to go for, and for a company that’s been around as long as they have, that’s got to be disappointing.
