Microsoft Expedia Goes with a Priceline Model

from the lawsuits-coming dept

So, Microsoft Expedia has added a name your own price system for hotel rooms. Basically, they’re copying the Priceline model. I think this is a good thing, but I think that Priceline is going to sue them. All Priceline ever does is talk about how their business model is patented, and I think that’s scared off most others from trying the “reverse auction” model. At least it’s Microsoft, who has the money to fight them off, and not some startup who wouldn’t be willing to fight. Now the question is how long until the lawsuit gets filed?
