  Some sites have reacted to the end of flash ads on Chrome by flooding pages with animation via JS and causing my tablet browser to crash.
  
  It is making me think about creating a adblock proxy for personal use.

  I think you are misreading the findings. The unfriending is being mentioned as collaborative evidence of the verbal abuse that day.

  The real problem is that the majority of the CPU time is spent running script for 10 different tracking firms then 10 different ad distribution firms layer on and then my browser freezes or crashes. And now that flash is gone the new animated ads can run on mobile devices causing more crashes.
  
  Can't they just unify around a single standard and distribute my info from their own servers??? I don't really mind as long as they allow me to browse!

  I think that they might ask to establish a line of communication in case they want an interview if the story gets big. And sometimes asking nicely will encourage them and others to post photos more, who doesn't like to feel special.

  The problem is with radio firmware which companies have been trying to hold back source code for. Not the SOC firmware.
  
  And most routers do not have combined radio and SOC. There is a huge problem because without the radio source you cannot update the version of Linux kernel used without a huge amount of work. It is already causing problems.
