  • Daily Deal: Zus Car Charger And Locator

    Buster ( profile ), 02 Dec, 2015 @ 11:52am

    Re:

My understanding is it uses GPS. When you leave the car you sync it with your GPS. When it syncs it creates a waypoint within the app. So when you're ready to find your car, you open the app (which will activate your phone's GPS) and it will use the previously made waypoint to guide you to your car.
I could be wrong, but in ALL the videos and reviews I've seen and read, the range was too far for any other technology, and a few users complained about it screwing with their GPS on their phones.

Personally, if you ask me, a standalone app (most of which are free) will get you the same end results without having to pay for a $30 piece of hardware that's trying to be sold as a high end speed charger

From DVD to Obama to Ass

First she posts a picture promoting Obama for the next election... 2 yrs from now, keeping in mind he CAN'T run again.
Now she's trying to file suit claiming someone poses like her...

I guess someone finally told her she's the laughing stock of the interwebs and now she's trying to keep that crown.

  • Chase Bank Slutshames Their Adult Performer Customers

    Buster ( profile ), 30 Apr, 2014 @ 08:43am

Husband orgies and un-well known "stars"

My first thought was Chase is trying to come off as a squeaky clean family oriented bank.

Then I thought "Who's really out there researching bank account information and says 'oh no porn stars use this bank, my husband might walk in there and end up in an orgy.'" I mean, REALLY??

My final thought was "I guess the girls in porns who STILL have their Chase accounts and DIDN'T obtain these letters are realizing how unknown they actually are"

    Sharing ain't all that bad

People seem to forget that sharing (legally or illegally) is how many artists become famous. It's a step up from walking the streets and hand passing out copies of your demo CDs that you spent money on.
Instead you simply make your track, toss it online and watch it slowly spread.

I remember one artist (can't remember exactly who) once said, "keep pirating music, we make the majority of our money from concerts and appearances. Money from album sales goes in the pockets of the suits" (paraphrased, not quoted)
But think about this, consider the number of new artists you've discovered by simply exploring LimeWire, Napster, SeekShare, etc. And now fast-forward to you at a concert of that artist. How would this have happened if you didn't explore?

  • Apple Using Special New Screws So You Can't Open Your iPhone

    Buster ( profile ), 25 Jan, 2011 @ 11:30am

    Kind of a waste...

This just means more money out of Apple's pocket. I've already located about 7 LOCAL sources selling the required screw-driver. What a joke. So apple is now forced to pay more money to prevent their customers from tampering with their purchased hardware. Smart Apple, quite smart.

  • Reason To Have A Distinct Ringtone? So You Can Find Your Mobile Phone At The Dump

Because trash likes to call each other...

"Reason To Have A Distinct Ringtone"? Because they were on a trash pile full of old cell phones that wouldn't stop ringing right?
Wait wait no, the pieces of trash were calling and texting each other right?
Or maybe you really meant that everyone's ringtone sounds like trash, but this guy's was unique. Haha I get it now, quite funny.

  • Supreme Court Won't Hear Case Over Computer Tech's Right To Search Your Computer

    Buster ( profile ), 10 Jun, 2009 @ 11:19am

    agreed...

I agree with the guy. Child porn is illegal (that should not change at all, not even a little bit) but I do think that the fact that the techs were only supposed to "tamper" with things related to the installation of the DVD player made it wrong for them to snoop through the guy's files. BUT if he had the files on his desktop or as his background that's a different story and then yes he should be in jail.
But if I know guys and porn, he had it probably inside 5 folders labeled Tax forms, or System files, or something else like that.

Again I don't agree that he should have child porn, BUT I do think the techs were wrong to snoop AND then go to the cops about it.

  • UK ISP Boss: 'The Pirates Will Always Win'

    Buster ( profile ), 09 Jun, 2009 @ 09:09am

    Been saying this for years...

I've been saying this for years. There's no way to stop it. You can slow it down or cut off one road, but there'll ALWAYS be another way of getting to the target. If you doubt it just look at the time line in general. We started with 3.5" floppies, someone would save data on it and send it to their friends; from there CDs, and once again the same thing occurred. Following that came the Napster generation (P2P sharing) and laws were made to stop it yet other companies and programs were born, and on and on. Now we have bit-torrents, as well as a few other things. It's pointless to try to stop it. BUT at the same time I'm not saying don't try, it's fun to watch the failure.

  • Bus Company Tries To Shut Down Online Carpooling Service

    Re: It's hitchhiking

Hitch hiking? How is this hitch hiking? You know you're you're riding with and you're all going to the same relative location. With hitch-hiking you're basically getting in a random car with a COMPLETE stranger. The people taking part in this service are environmentalists, and if you've done a lil bit of research and visited the site that they're attempting to discontinue you'll find out that pictures are posted of the individuals, as well as the location they're going.
It's just an advanced version of carpooling... No thumbs needed.
