The word soccer was actually first used in England to differentiate it from the other football game played at the time which became Rugby. It's an abbreviation from the term Association Football, it's just not used any more over here.
And while I have no respect for FIFA as an organisation, I'm pretty sure if a football player had done something similar using a famous FIA symbol, FIA would have reacted the same way.
People seem to be confusing idiots with trolls...
Sure you can get people who are both but surely a troll is someone who knowingly sets out to agitate others with misinformation or just generally winding people up, but they actually are aware that they are wrong and just taking the piss.
To often though the person who is labeled a troll is just an idiot who don't realise they're own ignorance.
Some trolls are quite funny and I would say are modern day practical jokers.

It's not the price of your games that cheapen IP you muppet, but things like the EULA for Origin, in fact for me EA has a negative value due to this alone. Their loss, I would buy FIFA every year if it wasn't for that.
Bohemia Interactive are the best developer out there, they've managed to keep me coming back for ten years.
Things like the no CD patches they release are awesome.
Shame there are not many like these guys.

Obviously the US Judicial system doesn't grease the palms as well as the MPAA
