Its awesome to see those people who believe that if it harms a corporation it is totally illegal and wrong. Guy bought product. Guy was sent wrong product. Guy opened packs of product making a video, like hes done before. Soooo where is the crime? If someone were shipped a pair of the newest air nikes they bought before the actual release date, we should send a SWAT team in to keep him from showing them to others? It is not like revealing the cards before the release date will be that harmful, people can't make their own based on the leaks. Some people might not buy as many packs as they had planned on seeing the set prior to release, some people might buy more. If people want to play Magic, they have to own the cards. The only ways to get the cards is buy packs or singles from retailers (who have to open cases & cases of product to get the few cards in the set people really want). If people seeing the set before the release date kills all the sales, perhaps the product sucks. Sending in private goons is a bad look, the things not based in reality they claimed is a bad look, stealing a citizens property to "protect" a corporations interest is a bad look, comply with our illegal demands or else is a bad look. A person bought a product, they were sent the wrong product. That person shared with others details about the product he was sent in error. Despite all of the other boot licking trying to find something he must have done that makes the response okay, y'all have no evidence any of that happened. Hasbro... we employ people with control issues & enable them to screw our reputation.
Been done.
So when push comes to shove Canada is more friendly to corporations than citizens. No actual harm shown beyond they had their feelings hurt but that it enough to keep allowing a corporation to work out its butthurt by crushing someone who pointed out the emperor was naked.
Anyone heard anymore that there are now block tokens and you can only use so many per 24 hour period if you are just a regular chud?
Faux News lawyers discover using the Faux News methods in talking to a court end poorly.
How much account access did he gives his anointed "journalist" to peoples accounts to find evidence of wrongdoing again?
Meinspace go down the hole...
A man used to always getting his way & being hailed as a genius discovered what happens when people he isn't paying have things to say about his antics. I've seen some horrible threads just burning up the Tweets and if I was paying money to advertise... I'd hire a bulk emailer before I did an Twitter ad buy. Of course there is still the little problem of people blocking the ads, so even the people you are paying to reach might not see your ads... hell given for what counts as 'discussion' on the freeest of the free speech platforms, not having people see your ads might be a good thing.
Sadly we don't donate enough money for Congress to notice us, we just have the right to vote and we never consider making a different choice that could improve our lives because humans are dumb.
Didn't think you were defending them, just annoyed to see this happen yet again. (Insert my spiel about being an immortal and humans never learning always thinking they are to smart to make the same mistake yet again.) They just grabbed something that would do what they wanted without giving it much more thought which is a horrible idea. See also: Many card skimmers all use the same BT chip and no one bothered to change the name it displays so there literally was an app to detect nearby skimmers that just looked for the default ID.
Ignoring the person reporting the problem for MONTHS isn't something I see as an action taken by a company on the up and up. The "hack" wasn't that hard to get and well one dude decided to try it so the odds are in the favor someone else discovered it & didn't report or might have shortly. They sold a product with a feature that they didn't appear to have done any testing on & the response is to brick the units with hand waving about if & when people might get back the features that helped them decide what product to purchase. The fact a customer tried the ever popular turn it on and off support solution on their own means they weren't doing a good job contacting customers that this was coming. All of their products used the same server that didn't sound like it had much security on it which doesn't give one much hope they have the staff who could repair the code to work like it should. Hey on the upside, this probably blew up their future plans to create a monthly fee to keep the features you had when you bought it.
Perhaps using Trumps Rolodex of lawyers not yet sanctioned was a bad idea.
But your honor, the townsfolk we riled up to get their torches and pitchforks to storm the castle started to turn on us when we mentioned there might not actually be a monster in the castle... so we had to keep telling them there was a monster in the castle. So an old castle got burned down, it was old and not up to code anyways... we can hardly be held responsible for telling people multiple times a day the monster was coming for their children.
Much like they try to pain the J6 Insurrectionists as tourists, they didn't go after parents who spoke out, they went after the people sending death threats. But please go on trying to change reality to pretend that your side is always on the side of the angels.
Son: MOM!!! I NEED A VR HEADSET! Mom: Why? Son: THE METAVERSE! Mom: We already live in a real dystopian nightmare!
I know I can but I've been swapping in fsck in most places because not everywhere likes swearing. I try to reserve the unscrambled word when they are actually necessary... I swear a lot, but not enough that it lessened the impact I had when I clearly and directly used fuck to make my point. https://www.techdirt.com/2012/06/07/filmmaker-compares-copyleft-supporters-to-anti-gay-marriage-advocates/#comment-278559 That might not have resonated so well if every 4th word in my posts was nonstop swearing.
Was it built by Tesla?
But but but then someone will call them unamerican and that would be bad so we need to keep shitting on the alleged rights we have, that the terrorists hate us for, because our leaders are to fearful of being called names.
"disloyal" Umm you fired people by turning off their access cards, refused to let them know if they still had jobs, fucked around with a disabled guy who you currently owe a SHIT TON of cash because you fucked around and found out how much you actually have to pay him. Loyalty is a 2 way street.... people slept in their fscking offices, worked like mad to accomplish your goals, and then you deactivated their ids. Oh and saying its binding on people who didn't sign it... How fscking stupid is he?
We call them Hasbro.
