Since it's on the Internet, it won't affect Prince. The Internet is over in his world.

Recorded digitally, printed digitally, can only be bought on plastic coasters, when you can find them in a thrift store or whatnot.

Also when Starz demands to make their programming a "Premium Tier" of Netflix at 10$ per view they will be able to dump the streaming side soundlessly into the sea.

Then bring it back as, I dunno, Netster or something a few years later.

But yeah as @Wonderella said: I just got an email from Netflix's CEO telling me to - and I'm paraphrasing - "Please start torrenting".

  • Getting Past Just 'Putting Radio On The Internet' – Killer Apps Come Next

    Blatant Coward ( profile ), 19 Sep, 2011 @ 05:57am

    What's old is new again

My favorite radio station is actually a fan site for a MMO video game. They provide a real sense of community with the old style DJ interface with the audience that make it so different from the current 'clearchannel' BS with the broadcast stations.
They also have a real variety of music unlike the cookie cutter "Pop or Hip-Hop Only" choices out there.

  • If TV Companies Released Authorized Torrents With Ads, Would People Download Them?

    Blatant Coward ( profile ), 03 Sep, 2011 @ 06:12pm

I don't torrent due to the job I have now and the one I had previously. One of those jobs where accusation is enough to convict things.
So I netflix all my needs, that suits me fine. I would love legal torrents with/without ads. My schedule is weird and with other issues, some months I watch no TV some months I have lots of hours open. With STARZ bailing out of Netflix though that has me bummed. Either way I am not getting back on cable, I do not need 400 hours of QVC crap for every hour offered of actual show.

  • Don Henley Hatred Of YouTube Clouding His Vision On PROTECT IP

    Blatant Coward ( profile ), 24 Aug, 2011 @ 03:01pm

Gang, I hate to admit it, but when Don Henley is right, he is just plain right.

I can't deny a single claim he's made, and to be an honest man in this rumdum 'ol world, sometimes you have to face bitter bitter truth and walk directly into the fire.

Don is a victim of MASSIVE YouTube defrauding. I thought at first, what harm would it be, a few videos, a couple of links, nothing major. I was so wrong. Don's music is majorly being highjacked by a band of cutthroats that are brazenly taking his videos, like MTV used to play, and putting them where young kids and old folks can see them. They should be locked in a vault somewhere they can be monetized and the bits fade at random from 1's to 0's and vice versa but here they are where ANYONE can see them.

From what I can tell the main culprits are a family operation called Warner Brothers, followed close behind bye the VEVO gang with a couple of Molls acting as front faces.

Having seen a few seconds of each of these clips, I feel I owe 'The Don' as I like to call him, a little something so I am off to my second job so I can send him $87,540.26. I want to thank the MPAA for that handy calculator.

Tarol Hunt creator and artist for Goblins raised $45,000+ this year.
Chris Muir creator of Day by Day gets all his funding from a yearly donation drive. I can't find the target amount, but it was reached and passed this year as well.

If this is how Christians treat their kids, I guess a shotgun to the back of the head is getting off easy.

    Judges 30-31, 34-39

And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord, and said, ?If you will let us beat the ever living shit out of the Ammonites then first person I see when I get home, I will set on fire as a burnt offering to you.?

Then Jephthah came home at Mizpah; and there was his daughter coming out to meet him with timbrels and with dancing. She was his only child; he had no other kids. When he saw her, he tore his clothes, and said, ?Why did it have to be you. I promised God to set you on fire.? She said to him, ?My father, if you have opened your mouth to God, you have to do it.?

'Give me two months to wander the hills and complain that I'll die a virgin and I will return. Two months later she returned-still a virgin, and he set her ass on fire.'

    Absolutely, look at Buckland 1857, Watts 1965, Toronto 1918, Harlem 1948, Ruimveldt 1905, Detroit 1966, & Providence 1824.

Shutting down twitter and facebook would have solved these issues Johnny on the Spot!
