    Re: Whatever

    Huh?

And on topic, I can't really blame them for putting in advertising, its more the hyping up that annoys me, these "security firms" like to make their own news, just like some popular UK Newspaper journalists sneaking a box marked "bomb" into Parliament ... when companies/newpapers start making their own breaking-super-important-life-altering-news you know its not with the time to read.

    Home/Work

is this home or work? i turn my home computer off, several reasons including room heating ;) and bills, but my work computer is on 24/7 because of nightly updates/AV checks etc.

the results are going to be a bit ambiguous.

or BT can phone your parents up and ask if they are interested in broadband, as novice users they say "oh, yes, this sounds interesting".

next month they wonder why their phone bill is "a little bit higher".

frikken idiots, surely they need something more than a phonecall?

Re: What Coinstar gets out of it.

actually amazon have a fairly good affiliate scheme, if it works on the same principal then they are making their money out of amazon by selling you the coupons. probably not quite a much money, but it may encourage you to use it more which offsets the amount.

    Re: Background Information

Actually I wrote a website specifically for mobile phones [gx20.com if its still working - looks different when viewed on phone though] about the time they implemented this porn feature, i used to test the site regularly after making changes, after which they decided to block the whole site.

eventualy got to speak to someone and they listed about 3 url's on the site that contained adult images, a couple were simple topless women [phone backgrounds], so you have to be over 18 to see a topless woman??? most of the images people wanted were women in skimpy clothing, and if you cant give people what they want [within reason] whats the point?

so that pissed me right off, i then moved to 3, now i can't even see my own site at all as 3 wont let you browse anything other than their own stupid content - grr!
