OS Not So Important?

Apparently, people really don’t care that much about the OS on their phone. That’s probably not all that surprising. Other than folks who really pay close attention to the space, most people just want their phones to work. While some get annoyed that the OS is confusing or not too intuitive at first, after a bit of messing around, they get it figured out, and then they stick with that phone for a while. One odd finding, however, was that people who did say they had a preference said it was for Microsoft’s Windows Mobile. Of course, you have to wonder if that’s just because they think of Windows on the desktop, and so if you ask about operating system, even if on a phone, their mind first turns to Microsoft. If that’s the case, then Symbian, Palm and others have quite a marketing job cut out for themselves.
