More Mobile Payments – But Not Via The Phone Bill
Graham writes “Here’s another story about mobile payments – this one has the wireless operator dealing with 2 banks. The smart idea (to me) is that this allows payment from the phone but the money is debited from the bank account. Here in Finland, many (most?) phones are provided by the employer and I don’t think the average employer wants people buying things and charging their phone bill… The other nice thing about this system is it’s designed to work over SMS – something many users are already comfortable with, making adoption less of a hurdle.
