Common Payment System Coming To Japan Mobile Phones
The three big wireless carriers in Japan, DoCoMo, KDDI, and J-Phone are teaming up to offer a common system to allow mobile phone users to pay at convenience stores for items they bought online. It’s basically just expanding the system that DoCoMo created for their own users – it’s just that now KDDI and J-Phone will adopt it as well. Always good to see more widely adopted standards, rather than little isolated pools.
