T-Mobile, BT Join Asian Wi-Fi Alliance

Following on yesterday’s news about the launch of the Asian WiFi alliance, comes this short blurb saying that T-Mobile and BT are joining the alliance. Unfortunately, they don’t say what this actually means. Does it mean subscribers of BT and T-Mobile elsewhere will get to use the Asian hotspots as well? Does it mean T-Mobile and BT will be building hotspots in Asia? Does it mean those in Asia who have subscriptions with one of the original services can use T-Mobile and BT hotspots elsewhere? Does it just mean folks from both companies have decided that the Asian WiFi alliance sounds nice? Details, details, details… Update: In related news, BT has also signed a deal with AirPath in the US to let customers of OpenZones in the UK use Airpath hotspots in the US.
