With Wireless Laptops, Law Firm Can Get Ahead
At first, I thought this was yet another story about a company discovering the wonders of WiFi – though, in this case, a law firm. Instead, it’s actually talking about a law firm that is using a cellular connection to keep their lawyers connected, and it’s changing how they do some things. For example, it tells of how one lawyer used the internet during a deposition to message with lawyers back at the firm, and get more information on a doctor that was mentioned by the witness giving the deposition. They also want to use the connection in court, if the judge allows it. Yet another example of how anytime, anywhere information access can really change the way people work.
