WiFi Start-Ups Are Thriving

The San Jose Mercury News is pointing out that some WiFi companies are suddenly rolling in the venture capital dough, and they’re looking for an IPO exit strategy, rather than an acquisition. As the article points out, it’s as if no one told them there was a technology downturn going on. In general, this is probably good, but parts of the article simply scream of excess hype about the opportunity – which is something you would have hoped startup execs and VCs would have learned to put behind them.
