Post Mortem For Red Herring
from the death-of-a-cheerleader dept
Om Malik, a former writer for Red Herring (something this article doesn’t happen to mention) has written a short article, supposedly about the death of Red Herring, but really it’s a “celebration” of everything that’s happened in the technology world over the past ten years when Red Herring was around. His argument is that Red Herring did a good job chronicling the rise of the technology generation – and the reason for its eventual failure was that technology has now become mainstream. It doesn’t need an “insider’s guide” any more.
