Techies Could Use Some PR

from the overhyping-techies? dept

A new study says that techies don’t do enough to let upper management know how important they are. While they think they’re doing a good job, many have trouble getting management to understand the value of what they’ve provided to the company. I doubt this is a surprise to most people who deal with techies. The study also suggests that the tech crowd has lost much of the empowerment they gained during the boom years, in terms of making purchasing decisions. That’s been moved (uh oh…) to upper management as well.
