Schools Using SMS To Fight Truancy
This is starting to get more popular. In the last year or so I’ve been seeing more stories of schools using SMS text messaging to alert parents if their kid is missing from school. The idea is to help parents and teachers fight truancy, though, my first thought is that the kids would figure out ways to intercept the messages themselves.
