Japan, Australia Ranked Two Most 3G-Ready Nations
A new study has said that Japan and Australia are the two “most ready” nations to adopt 3G technologies. Interstingly, the study looked at much more than early adoption rates, in order to see the likelihood of 3G success going forward. Thus, a country like South Korea, which has had tremendous early adoption of 2.5G and 3G phones ends up in 19th place. The report points out that low personal income and high 3G spectrum license fees may eventually hurt 3G in the country. Other countries rounding out the top five were Finland, the US, and Switzerland.
