Camera Phones Soared in 2002
According to Strategy Analytics 18 million camera phones were sold worldwide in 2002, 72 percent of them in Japan. They expect sales to double in 2003 as Europe and North America catch up. This is great for handset makers. But the real test outside of Japan will come when we see if camera phones increase ARPUs.
