First 3G phone from Sony Ericsson

Sony Ericsson is showing off its first 3G phone, the Z1010. It’s a dual mode phone that works on GSM/GPRS/UMTS networks. This phone is a new design direction for SE with an Asian influenced clamshell design that breaks away from the past Ericsson-based designs. It’s also the second device to incorporate Sony’s new Memory Stick Duo storage format. Like many 3G devices video telephony is a key feature. But if GPRS phone sales are any indication, I suspect people will buy this phone because it looks cool not because it has two cameras and supports video calls.
