Reach Out And Vibrate Someone

from the oh,-the-possible-jokes... dept

Whenever the discussion turns to ringtones, I generally admit that I prefer to keep my mobile phone on vibrate so as not to bother people around me. Now, however, a company is working on special “vibetones” that will let mobile phone vibrate in distinct ways so that you can tell who’s calling based on the vibration. They claim that this will also be useful for adding force-feedback type vibrations to games on mobile phones. However, they also see more “advanced” applications for specific vibration-types, so that you can send speicific “vibration messages” to other mobile phone users to express “emotions”. Anyone else see the porn industry banging down this company’s door to add their own “twist” to this new technology?
