Neonode Unveils New Windows Smartphone

Not all Windows powered smartphones are built alike. Neonode’s N1 uses a custom shell running on top of Windows CE rather than Microsoft’s Smartphone 2002. From the initial pictures the interface looks much more consumer oriented than Microsoft’s all business interface. Plus it’s smaller than most of the other Windows powered devices. The N1 is an interesting looking device and certainly a bit different than its competition. The company hasn’t announced pricing or distribution yet so its fate is still unclear. But its good to see companies other than the big boys trying to break into the market with new ideas and designs.
