Big Brother Is Watching In London

from the be-good-now... dept

It’s somewhat amazing that this ever got passed the (very bad) idea stage. However, the Transport for London (London’s mass transit system) has put up a series of ominous Big Brother-esque posters telling people that they are “secure beneath watchful eyes”. Looking at the poster itself you would swear it’s a parody, done by some pro-privacy group, but apparently it’s legit. No matter what you think of them using cameras to watch over the public transportation system, you would think they would have come up with a less Orwellian poster. I’m still half expecting to hear that this is some sort of practical joke.
