Intel Unveils Mobile Handset Chips
It seems Intel is trying to expand their business into the realm of Texas Instruments and others by offering chips designed to go into mobile handsets. Their offering combines the processor with a flash memory chip, so that it uses less power, according to the marketing spiel from Intel. What this means for the end user would be longer battery life, and faster data throughput. Texas Instruments is expected to come out with a competing offering next year.
