AT&T Wireless Sees No Demand for WCDMA Service

AT&T declared that it’s in no rush to launch WCDMA services in the US at the UMTS and Mobile Internet conference in Paris. While WCDMA on their long term agenda they are focusing current efforts on GPRS and EDGE rollouts. Considering what a mess the WCDMA spec is right now this looks like the right move. Oh, and we still don’t have the spectrum issues resolved.
