Scholars File Brief Opposing Video Game Law

from the profoundly-misguided dept

A bunch of random “scholars” have filed a brief saying that a court should strike down a St. Louis law that bans children from playing certain video games. I doubt it will have much of an effect because violent video games seem to create a knee-jerk reaction from a lot of people, who automatically think “bad for kids – something must be done!”. However, these scholars point out that “efforts to address real-world violence by censoring entertainment are profoundly misguided”.
