Vive La Vodafone!
Now that Vodafone has completed the acquisition of Vivendi’s stake in Vizzavi, rumors of their desire for SFR are resurfacing. France is the last major European market where Vodafone does not have a controlling interest in a wireless carrirer. While Vivendi could use the $12 billion that Vodafone is rumored to be offering, I don’t think the deal will happen. Vivendi knows that SFR is a long term win and probably the best part of Messier’s legacy.
