Society Under Surveillance

from the it's-everywhere dept

It seems that people are realizing that there are now cameras and other surveillance equipment everywhere you go. However, since September 11th, it seems more people don’t care as much about the privacy implications. Of course, the article linked here doesn’t discuss the same problem we’ve brought up a number of times: getting more data is not the equivalent of getting better data. In fact, it often makes the better data more difficult to find.
