Wireless Service at the Door
This is an interesting twist on home delivery. Starting in December, postmen in India will carry mobile phones with metering facilities so that people on their route can make phone calls when they drop off the mail. Even better, the mail carrier gets to keep 25% of the revenues from each call. But how will this effect mail service? What happens if the postman gets stuck on a long call? His rounds will take longer. But I guess they are barely in a rush as is.
