Smart Threads

from the your-clothes-are-smarter-than-you dept

We’ve had various articles about smart clothes, but why stop there? Now people are talking about smart threads that can be sewn into clothing. The main example in the article is having a mobile phone sewn directly into your shirt. Of course, if I understand this properly, it would mean you would need to wear the same shirt everyday (or buy an awful lot of these shirts – which I imagine would be more expensive than your plain old garden variety shirt) if you actually want to use your mobile phone. I’m sure that some of the other uses (such as for doctors or soldiers) make a lot more sense, though.
